      Step-by-step procedure

      1. Initial candidate selection
The agent/candidate sends: passport copy, diploma or information about experience / photos/videos of work if available / proof of experience, questionnaire or CV, signed vacancy application, EN language level, and readiness for the work conditions.
      2. Pre-screening by VISA-SVIT / transfer to the employer
VISA-SVIT checks the logic of the case: country, submission route, experience, documents, vacancy match and basic risks, and sends all received documents and candidate information to the employer for final approval.
      3. Candidate review / confirmation by the employer
The employer reviews the profile, may conduct a short video interview and confirms whether the candidate fits. Guideline: 3–5 days.
      4. Advance payment
To start preparation of the document package, the candidate/agent pays an advance payment of 50% of the total amount.
      5. Candidate document preparation
After the advance payment, the candidate receives further instructions from VISA-SVIT and prepares the police clearance certificate with apostille/legalisation depending on the candidate country, translations and the receipt for TR code payment of 60 EUR.
      6. Final payment / Mediation letter and TR code
After the specified documents are ready and sent, and after payment of the remaining 50%, the employer submits the mediation letter through MIGRIS. The candidate receives the TR code and further instructions from VISA-SVIT. Estimated completion time: 5–7 days after receipt of the final payment and case readiness.
      7. Data upload and appointment booking
The candidate personally or with the help of an agent/intermediary, very carefully, uploads application data and required information to their personal account on the Lithuanian consulate website and follows the instructions of the MIGRIS / VFS / consular route.
      Important note for Step 7
If the data is uploaded incorrectly or with errors, such upload may be cancelled and a repeated upload plus repeated TR code payment of 60 EUR may be required.
      8. Interview date / state fee payment / waiting for decision
The consulate / VFS / relevant route appoints the submission or interview date. After receiving the interview date, the candidate pays the official state fees for TRP and card personalisation: 160 EUR / 45 EUR or 320 EUR / 90 EUR under the urgent procedure, if available, through official VMI channels and saves the receipts. Estimated term for TRC card approval by the consulate: 30–90 days depending on the queue and rules.
      9. Next steps after the decision
After a positive decision, the candidate follows the instructions for personalisation, card receipt, travel and work start. Start conditions are agreed with VISA-SVIT and the employer.

Lithuania — a country of new opportunities

Vilnius and Trakai — legal labour migration programs to Lithuania

EU and Schengen — a stable environment for work and residence

Lithuania has a clear mechanism through MIGRIS, mediation letter and the official TRP process. For agents, this route is practical because it gives a clear structure: whom to accept, which documents to check, how to explain payments and how to manage risks.

      ✓ Entry and work
      • Legal work requires the correct legal basis, employer documents and migration route
      • TRP / TRC card allows residence and work according to the granted status
      • Medical insurance, official payments and correct documents must be prepared before submission

VISA-SVIT helps prepare the case, structure documents, transfer the profile to the employer, explain the next steps and reduce the risk of document mistakes during the process.

We have been working since 2002 and provide support to candidates, agents and partners at practical stages of the visa and migration process.

Apostille / legalisation of police clearance by country

      Apostille route
Philippines and South Africa — apostille route may apply; LT/EN translation should be prepared if required.
      Vietnam
Until 11.09.2026 — consular legalisation, not apostille. The route should be checked separately.
      Zimbabwe
Authentication/legalisation is required; a more complex route and second legalisation for Lithuania should be checked.
      Risky or limited directions

Ghana and Mongolia may have limitations for standard employment-based TRP and require separate verification of the legal basis. UAE was also indicated as a closed VFS direction from 22.10.2025. Any other country must be checked individually before the case is accepted.
