Visa to Hungary (Schengen)
Schengen visa (Type C) to Hungary for foreign nationals applying from Ukraine — tourism, family/guest visits, business meetings, events and conferences.
Visa to Hungary from Ukraine
Visiting Hungary with a tourist, family or guest visit as well as for participation in official/business projects, partnership meetings or cultural events typically requires a Schengen short-stay visa.
We help applicants who legally reside in Ukraine (non-residents included) prepare a correct visa package and avoid typical refusal reasons: weak travel purpose, inconsistent documents, missing confirmations, or unclear financial proof.

To prepare a strong, consistent application for a Hungary Schengen visa, the following documents are typically required:
- International passport — validity should extend at least 180 days after submission. Prepare copies of all pages; one page should be blank.
- National passport with copies of all pages (if available).
- 2 color photos in the required format.
- Financial proof — employment income letter for the last 6 months and/or bank/card statements (recommended).
- Completed application form (in English or Hungarian).
- Receipts confirming payment of visa/consular fees.
Hungary (Schengen): the travel purpose must be clear and supported by evidence.
A “guarantee” option is available only for foreign nationals who have a valid residence permit in Ukraine.
- Proof of work (last 6 months) / study, or a bank certificate (minimum €700 balance).
- For students, application is possible from the 2nd year of studies.
- Applicants with previous Schengen refusals;
- Applicants from “high-risk” countries: Iran, North Korea, Russia, Somalia, Syria (case-by-case).
- 1 year: only if you have used Schengen visas within the last 3 years;
- 6 months: may be possible with a “clean” passport (no prior Schengen).
- Personal submission and biometrics (fingerprints);
- Passport collection without personal presence (delivery may be possible at recipient’s cost).
- With a “clean” passport, the “guarantee” option is typically limited to 7–14 days;
- 1-year visa — only with used Schengen visas within the last 3 years.
- 50% — guarantee deposit (refunded in case of refusal; not refunded if the applicant does not appear for submission);
- Remaining amount — after receiving the passport with the visa.
If a visa is issued for a shorter period, a recalculation is made and the overpayment is refunded. After approval, it is recommended to use the Hungary visa within 3 months. Extension is possible only if there are strong legal grounds.
Key requirements: strong reasons to return (property / employment / minor children), sufficient funds, no criminal record, and a transparent travel purpose.
Common refusal reasons include hiding the real purpose of travel, providing false/outdated data, or previous violations in Schengen countries. A positive visa history is a strong advantage.
