      Work in Albania

Work Permit · Electronic Visa Type D / APU · work in Elbasan · subsequent Unique Permit / Leje Unike

Work route to Albania through an employer

Albania is a practical destination for candidates who are ready for warehouse, logistics or other physical work and want to apply on the basis of employer documents.

The route includes preparation of employment documents, obtaining a Visa Type D / APU for entry and the subsequent stage of legalizing the stay through a Unique Permit / Leje Unike, depending on the individual case and current rules.

Work route based on employer documents
The case is based on the employer’s employment and registration documents, the permit procedure, the candidate’s documents and the relevant Albanian visa and migration procedure.
Albania — work, Electronic Visa Type D and Unique Permit
ONE OF THE MAIN ADVANTAGES OF THE ROUTE

Electronic Visa Type D: online registration and issuance

The visa procedure is carried out through Albania’s official electronic system. Documents are submitted online, and after a positive decision the Electronic Visa is generated in electronic format.

      1. Online registration
The application is registered through Albania’s official e-Visa electronic system.
      2. Documents online
The required document package is uploaded to the electronic system according to the requirements of the case.
      3. Application review
The application status and further instructions are tracked through the electronic process.
      4. Visa online
After a positive decision, the Electronic Visa is provided to the candidate in electronic format.
No standard consulate visit to obtain the Electronic Visa
There is no need to travel to a consulate for the standard procedure of placing a visa sticker in the passport: after approval, the Electronic Visa is generated online.

Visa D and TRC / Unique Permit — two different stages

Visa Type D is not a TRC / residence permit. The visa and the residence permit have different purposes and are processed as separate stages.

      STAGE 1
      Visa Type D / APU
Purpose: completion of the visa stage for entry into Albania for employment and subsequent processing of the relevant residence status.
Key advantage: the Electronic Visa is processed through the online system and, after approval, is provided in electronic format.
      STAGE 2
TRC / Unique Permit / Leje Unike
Purpose: a separate procedure for obtaining the right to reside and work according to the applicable route.
When it is processed: as the next stage after entry into Albania, if provided for by the conditions of the individual case.
In simple terms: Visa D is the document for completing the visa stage and entering Albania. TRC / Unique Permit is a separate subsequent document for legal residence and work.
