For foreign nationals who require a visa for the applicable employment route, a Serbia Visa D issued on the basis of employment may provide the legal basis for entry, residence and work in Serbia for the period stated in the issued visa, up to the maximum period permitted by Serbian regulations.
VISA-SVIT provides document and procedural support for candidates from Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia, including coordination of available employer documentation and guidance through the applicable employment, Visa D and residence procedure.
The applicable route depends on the candidate’s citizenship, visa regime, employment basis and intended period of stay. Candidates who do not require a Visa D for entry may, where legally applicable, be able to proceed directly with the electronic Single Permit procedure for temporary residence and work.
Typical workflow: candidate assessment → vacancy and employer confirmation → candidate and employer documents → applicable Visa D or Single Permit procedure → decision by the competent authority → legal entry / residence → employer onboarding.
A complete and consistent application package helps reduce avoidable document errors and clarification requests.
