Information from the Consulate of Slovakia

How to make an appointment (New Delhi) — National D Visa (Employment)
      1) Booking via e-mail
For a national visa (D) for employment purposes, the Consulate in New Delhi typically uses e-mail reservations (not the same online system as Schengen Type C).
      Reservation e-mail:
      Important
The reservation request should be sent by the Slovak employer (with valid IČO). Individual requests may be ignored.
      2) When booking opens (examples)
The consulate publishes specific days when reservation requests are accepted. Examples (2026 practice):
      • 30 January 2026
      • 10 February 2026
      • 20 March 2026
Send a letter only on published dates and only once (repeated e-mails may slow down processing).
      3) What must be in the e-mail
      • Full name of the applicant
      • Date of birth
      • Passport number
      • Citizenship
      • Employer name + National D visa confirmation (employment)
      • Mobile number of the applicant and/or employer contact
      • If family members apply: add their data in the same letter
      4) Confirmation timing
After sending the letter on the prescribed day, the consulate may confirm the date/time within 30–90 days or report that the queue is full. Avoid repeated e-mails before receiving a response.
      Are there “paid slots”?
No. The consulate does not sell paid slots. Any payments are only official fees and services (if applicable) — not “buying appointments”.

How the work visa and residence process works in Slovakia

How Slovakia work visa and residence process works for foreign nationals

Legal employment in Slovakia is based on a compliant employer and consistent submissions. We focus on structure: clear job conditions, correct employer-side confirmations, and a realistic timeline for consular registration.

      ✓ Practical tip
Most delays are caused by incomplete candidate data, inconsistencies in names/dates, missing translations, and late appointment booking. We pre-check everything before submission.

      1. Choose a vacancy and confirm candidate profile
      2. Employer-side preparation (government/labour confirmations as applicable)
      3. Pre-submission check: forms, translations, certificates, consistency
      4. Consular registration (appointment booking rules depend on country)
      5. Decision and entry to Slovakia
      6. Residence steps (TRP/TRC) and support after arrival

      What increases success probability

      • Consistent job title/salary/dates across documents
      • Valid certificates within accepted dates
      • Accurate translations (names, numbers, dates)
      • Correct route and realistic scheduling
We explain the exact submission logic before start — no risky promises against EU rules.

      Why choose VISA-SVIT for Slovakia

VISA-SVIT has been operating since 2002 and focuses on legal, structured, and transparent support for labor migration. We cooperate with verified employers and build a clear roadmap for each client — from documents to entry.

Slovakia is often selected for EU employment due to predictable industrial demand (manufacturing, automotive supply chains, warehouses/logistics) and a clear residence logic after entry. Our approach is to reduce typical refusal triggers: inconsistent data, weak translations, unclear job terms, and unrealistic consular expectations.

      • Route via a verified vacancy (if available)
      • Structured employer-side document coordination (as applicable)
      • Step-by-step checklist for the candidate
      • Quality control of translations and consistency (names, dates, numbers)
      • Support for consular booking logic depending on the country
✓ SEO note (useful for clients)
Slovakia work visa and temporary residence are based on lawful employment. The key success factors are compliant employer confirmation, correct consular route, and timely submission of valid certificates.
