Work, Work Visa & Legal Residence
Poland offers several legal employment routes for third-country nationals. The applicable procedure depends on the candidate's nationality, country of legal residence, employer, vacancy, intended period of work and the relevant legal basis.

Main focus: foreign applicants from Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia. The route is assessed individually according to nationality and vacancy.
Poland is a practical destination for legal employment of foreign nationals with a possible route to longer legal residence when the applicable requirements are met.
D-06
Employment Based on a Work Permit
A principal employment route for many third-country nationals hired by a Polish employer.
The employer obtains the appropriate work permit for the specific employment case.
Older materials may refer to this route as Zezwolenie na pracę typ A. A work permit may cover a longer period, while a Polish national Visa D itself is issued for no more than 1 year.

Zezwolenie na pracę sezonową
Route for employment in activities classified as seasonal under Polish regulations.
Seasonal employment: up to 9 months in a calendar year.

Oświadczenie o powierzeniu pracy cudzoziemcowi
Simplified employment procedure based on a registered Oświadczenie.
Employment under an Oświadczenie may cover up to 24 months. This simplified procedure is currently available to eligible citizens of Armenia, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine.
D-09 / D-11
Education-Based Routes
D-09 — Studia applies to higher education and doctoral education. Other education or training programs, including certain szkoła policealna programs, may fall under another visa purpose, including D-11, depending on the specific program.
Visa D validity: maximum up to 1 year.
Important: the validity period of the underlying employment document is not the same as the validity period of Visa D. A work permit or Oświadczenie may cover a longer employment period, while a Polish national Visa D is not issued for more than 1 year.
Temporary Residence & Work | Karta Pobytu
Temporary Residence and Work Permit
A foreign national who meets the applicable requirements and intends to stay in Poland for more than 3 months may apply for zezwolenie na pobyt czasowy i pracę.
Validity & Karta Pobytu
A temporary residence and work permit may be granted for up to 3 years, depending on the individual case. Karta Pobytu is the physical residence card issued after a positive decision.

BUTCHER / SLAUGHTERER / BONING
Pay: piecework; approximately PLN 6,500–8,000 net/month depending on operation, experience and productivity.
Conditions for specialist meat-processing positions differ from the standard PLN 18–21 net/hour rate and are confirmed separately for the specific employer.
Additional employer support: coordinator support and transport from the accommodation to the workplace may be included depending on the employer and work site. The current vacancy and employer are confirmed before final approval and payment.
Important: vacancies may change, but workers for production, warehouses and cleaning are continuously required. If the quota or recruitment for the initially selected vacancy closes during the document process, an analogous available vacancy will be offered.
