For more than two years, a visa-free regime has been in effect, despite this, every month more and more Ukrainians are sent back home from the borders, especially in Poland. It is Poland that is the most popular destination among potential workers.
Over the past year, the number of refusals to enter Poland for citizens of Ukraine has increased by almost 12 thousand people. Last year, 2018, this figure fluctuated around 46.7 thousand. The figure of 2019 has become an absolute record to date. The latest data was provided by the analytical center "Europe Without Barriers", referring to the data of the Polish border service.
The land border took on the largest number of failures. According to analysts, the opportunity for airline passengers to get "non-clearance" is reduced to a minimum.
The first and most massive one is that citizens of Ukraine cannot correctly state the purpose of their visit to another country. According to the center, this is the reason for approximately 75% of refusals, or about 35,000 bans.
The second is the lack of cash for stay and return home. To go to the European neighbors, you need to take with you about 500 euros. The number of deportees is around 25% or almost 12,000 refusals.
In recent months, at the borders of Poland, Ukrainians have been increasingly thoroughly checked: a complete inspection of cars and passengers of railway transport.
The European agency "Frontex" cites its statistics, in view of which, Ukraine occupies an "honorable" first place in the number of people banned from entering the countries of the European Union and Schengen.
